Sinus surgery is typically performed through the nose using a small, thin tube with a camera called an endoscope. The endoscope allows the doctor to see inside the nose and sinuses in order to open the nasal passages and clear blockages. Because endoscopic sinus surgery is less invasive, it has a lower rate of complications and a much shorter recovery.
